DNA test: Mohbad’s wife’s substitute service is ordered by the court
A Magistrate Court in the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos has mandated that Wunmi, the late singer Mohbad’s wife, receive notice of an upcoming DNA application by other methods.
This was revealed to the Aloba family on Wednesday through a statement written by a lawyer for the team, Monisola Odumosu.
In the application that the legal team filed, Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, requested permission to serve Wunmi by posting all of the suit’s originating documents and other documents on the respondent’s last-known address.
According to the statement, the defense team claimed that the sheriff had made two unsuccessful attempts to serve Wunmi with court documents.
“It would be good service and she would be aware of the pending suit if the process were served by court order at the respondent’s last known address.”
The Chief Magistrate directed that a court process be posted on the respondent’s last known address in order to serve her.
